Choosing date ideas doesn’t have to be stressful or extravagant. Choose things you and your partner like to do, even just simple things. Maybe a trip to the grocery store isn’t quite a date, but cooking dinner together and playing a board game definitely could be! If you’re more about going out for dates, that’s fine too. Choose what makes sense for you. What matters is you’re actively choosing to spend quality time together.

We’ve designed date night coupons using the list above. We’ve also included blank coupons that you can customize with your own ideas.

Giving the coupons as a gift

You can print the coupons out as they are or print out the blank ones and write (or type) your own date ideas, tailored to you and your love.

Once printed, you’ll need to cut them out, which can be tedious for 30 coupons. I recommend using this paper cutter. The cuts will be perfectly straight and it will save your hand from getting tired. These paper cutters are useful for many different projects!

Now, you need a way to present them. Here are some ideas for containers you can put them into:

  • Glass jar
  • Gift Box
  • Stanley drink tumbler
  • Starbucks cup (include a gift card too!)
  • Cookie jar
  • Jewelry box
  • Decorative tin

As you can see, you can package the coupons in various ways, even including an additional gift if it makes sense. Ultimately, you’re choosing something that can hold the coupons. If you choose something large, your coupons may not fill the entire container. Keep that in mind. If you do have extra space, think about what can fill that space. This is especially important if your container is clear.

Space fillers can be things like tissue paper, shredded paper, candy, or anything heart-shaped.

If you’re doing this for Valentine’s Day, conversation hearts or Dove chocolates would make the perfect filler!

Date coupons in a glass jar

We’re going to show you an example using a small glass jar. This is one of the easiest and cost effective ways to present this DIY gift.

What you need:

  • Glass jar
  • Ribbon or twine
  • Gift tag

Instructions

  1. Cut out your coupons and fold them in half (they fill space better when folded).
  2. Place the coupons and any filler in the glass jar and close the lid.
  3. Tie a ribbon around the top of the jar.
  4. Make a tag that says “30 date nights” and tie it on.
  5. Place the jar in a gift bag and it’s ready to go!
  6. (Optional) You’ll get bonus points if you add a couple additional things in the bag, like your partner’s favorite candy, a stuffed animal, or anything else they might like. It’s always nice to do something extra.

Gift tag free download

We’re also including a free download for the gift tags to use with your 30 date night ideas jar. There are 2 sizes and a few different styles, plus a couple of blank ones you can write on yourself.
