6 Personal Care Items I Keep in My Bag to Survive a Winter Work Day

Work days can be rough if not prepared and properly equipped with some essentials. Winter work days can be even more rough! While Winter isn’t officially here yet, I’m feeling it’s presence where I live and my bag is stocked of things to help me make it through the day. Here are 6 personal care items I keep in my bag to survive a Winter work day.

6 Personal Care Items I Keep in my Bag to Survive a Winter Work Day

1. Gloves.

When I get in my car in the morning, it’s frosty! My windshield will confirm that for you as it’s usually covered with a layer of ice. My steering wheel can feel a bit chilly too, so I keep a pair of gloves with me so that my hands can function as hands, not icicles.

2. Hand sanitizer.

It’s that time of year where the sicknesses get passed around and unfortunately I’ve already caught the sniffles. I still like to keep hand sanitizer close by though to shield some of those inevitably lingering germs. Plus, it makes your hands smell good – at least the fruity ones that I buy!

3. Summer’s Eve Cleansing Cloths.

This one is about staying fresh. Even though hot weather has left us for quite some time now, a work day can be just as much of a culprit when it comes to making me feel less fresh. Simply Sensitive Summer’s Eve Cleansing Cloths are feminine cleansing cloths that wipe away odor-causing bacteria while leaving behind a light fragrance. They help the body maintain a natural pH and they don’t irritate sensitive skin. You can get them in a soft pack or individual packettes (which is what I like to keep in my purse – they’re so convenient and discreet!). They’ve also been clinically and gynecologist tested for safety, are hypoallergenic, and alcohol-free.
I like to use one on a typical day, but I especially like it when my period rears it head. That’s when I really feel the need to be more fresh and these do the trick.

4. Lip treatment.

It’s hard to keep my lips soft in harsh, cold weather. Some sort of lip treatment is necessary to prevent my lips from cracking and peeling. I keep a lip balm or treatment with me at all times to rejuvenate my lips. Then, my lip color looks better too since it goes on more smoothly.

5. Sunglasses.

The Winter sun blinds me! There’s always such a glare and it’s positioned just right in the sky to where my eyes cannot escape its intense beams. I can’t survive my drive without a pair of sun-blocking shades.

6. Lipstick.

Color on my lips helps me look more alive, especially when sick. Since it wears off after so long, I like to keep a tube with me to reawaken my lips every so often.

So that’s my simple list of personal care items that get me through the work day during Winter. Nothing too out of the ordinary, but everything on the list is essential in making my day easier.  What are some items that you need for surviving a work day?

I have all of these, but not sunglasses. Sun is out when I’m at work and it’s already down when I’m back home. But I have tissues with me!
