Summer is in full swing and so are the activities of the season! I get excited for this time of year because I’m such a Summer girl. A couple days ago, I decided to spend some time at the lake. The spot I frequent has a big open grassy area, refreshing swimming spot, and a trail that hugs the water. It’s one of my favorite places to be. While I absolutely love Summer activities, I also know its important to take special care of my skin in the hot weather months. Here’s what I use for Summer skin care.

There’s always people around, wading in the water to cool off and sometimes I spot a turtle or other cool wildlife. Walking the trail is relaxing too, as you start to separate from the groups of people and just enjoy nature. I’ll often take a seat at the water’s edge, feeling the breeze flow around me, and soaking up the sun while I take in all of my surroundings. It’s one of the most peaceful things to do.
I love being in the sun, but as it’s shining down on me, I have to keep protection in mind too. I like to use Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration Weightless Lotion Sunscreen. An Island Mango fragrance gives it an amazing scent while special light reflecting pigments help skin appear beautiful, radiant, and glowing. It also contains shea butter along with mango extract.
I love this moisturizer because it also feels lightweight and non-greasy, plus the scent is just too good! It feels great to apply it after my outdoor adventures. I feel refreshed and pampered.
