7 New Beauty Products I’m Using

It’s fun to experiment with new beauty products. Heck, that’s why I started beauty blogging – to try all kinds of  products and share my opinions of them! Lately, I’ve been using 7 new products in my beauty routine. Some are makeup items, and a few are skin care items.  Keep reading to learn about the products.

7 New Beauty Products I’m Using

1. L’Oreal True Match™ Lumi Cushion Foundation

About: A liquid foundation featuring a sponge that provides the ideal amount of makeup and gives sheer to medium coverage that’s buildable. It comes in 12 shades that leave a natural, luminous finish.

My Thoughts: I was sent 3 shades to try and discovered that one of them matched me perfectly. This foundation gives me a radiant, dewy glow. It comes with an applicator, but I love using a brush to grab the foundation from the saturated sponge. It doesn’t require too much blending and I can build it up in the areas that need more coverage.

2. IT Cosmetics Superhero™ Mascara

About: A volumizing mascara that lengthens, lifts, and separates each lash to make a set of long, defined, full lashes.

My thoughts: It gives my lashes a boost of volume without clumping. It doesn’t flake or smudge. My lashes look more defined.  It’s not my favorite mascara, but I like it and it certainly gets the job done.

3. First Aid Beauty Eye Duty Triple Remedy

About: An eye treatment that erases dark circles and brightens the eye area. Over time, the appearance of undereye puffiness, dark circles, and fine lines are significantly improved.

My thoughts: This one was purchased with a little hesitation.  The $36 price tag seems a little high for what could be nothing more than a glorified undereye concealer. So far, that’s as much as it is, but I’m eager to see what it does for me in the long term. I’m not loving it and I’m not hating it.

4. Elizabeth Arden Superstart Skin Renewal Booster

About: It helps restore the look of skin’s surface layer, which may lose it’s ability to retain moisture or protect itself if damaged. Skin is able to repair and renew. It boosts the effectiveness of your skincare products as well.

My thoughts: This one was sent to me along with the next product and they are now essential parts of my nightly routine. I apply this one first after cleansing my skin. It’s lightweight, absorbs fast, and leaves my skin feeling soft. More thoughts about both products below.

5. Elizabeth Arden Flawless Future with Ceramide Caplet Serum

About: A serum that helps reinforce skin’s moisture barrier, evens skin tone, rejuvenates the look of tired skin, improves the appearance of pores, and reduces the appearance of early signs of wrinkles.

My thoughts: This product works amazingly with the Skin Renewal Booster. My skin is in the best condition it’s been in for a long time and the only difference in my nightly skincare routine is adding these two products. I notice so many positive things with my skin since using them together: my skin tone is more even, I have a healthy radiant glow, my skin is smoother and brighter, my pores are looking better, and my complexion is staying clear. Both get my stamp of approval and my recommendation!

6. Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons Palette

About: A popular palette featuring 16 matte and shimmer shadows with a chocolate scent.

My thoughts: I’ve been reaching for this palette a lot. I got it with my Ipsy points (such a score!).  The shadows are pigmented and blend well together to create gorgeous eye looks. I love that most of them are heart-shaped with the exception of two large rectangular shadows. Comment below if you want to see a couple tutorials or looks using this palette. I’m loving it!

7. It Cosmetics Confidence in a Cream™

About: A moisturizing cream that deeply hydrates, restores radiance, reduces the look of pores, improves texture, and minimizes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

My thoughts: This product might also be to thank for my improved skin. I’m loving using this cream as my daily moisturizer before I apply makeup. It keeps my skin very hydrated, but it’s not greasy or heavy in the slightest. My skin looks more dewy and less dull because of it.

I have 4 favorites in this bunch: the Chocolate Bon Bons palette, both Elizabeth Arden products, and the moisturizing cream from IT Cosmetics. I’ve discovered some new beauty products that I really like and will continue to use in my daily routine!

I’ve heard good things about that ‘cushion’ foundation..I’ll have to try it. And, I’m always in search of that perfect moisturizer (since my skin has changed over the years). I have been experimenting with eyeshadows, so that Too Faced Palette looks like a fun one to try!
