With COVID-19 and the stay-at-home order putting life on hold, I’ve been wanting to get my creative juices flowing more. I’m at home most of the time now, only heading in to work once a week for an hour or two at a time. I had been drawing and coloring like crazy to keep my mind at ease (and also because I love to). I started drawing mandalas with a drawing compass, pencil, and paper. It was a relaxing and soothing activity that I began to really enjoy. I shared my designs on my personal Facebook and the response was surprising. Everyone loved them. My next idea was born – printable mandala coloring pages!
Creating Mandalas
My idea was to make my creations easily accessible for others to enjoy and decorate as they desired. I started using my newly purchased iPad, Apple Pencil, and Procreate app to make the mandalas. They came out as perfect coloring pages and now I’m obsessed with making them! I decided to put the set in my Etsy shop for purchase, but for my readers I am offering them for free!!

I have to say, I’ve found myself a fun little hobby with this. I never thought I’d like digital art so much as I’ve always preferred pencil and paper for drawing. But after discovering the Procreate app and all that it can do, I have been playing with it everyday. I’m also working on my calligraphy skills!
